Speaker: Brian Harding, Service Industry Success

Brian Harding is an author, professional keynote speaker, executive leadership coach, and business consultant for entrepreneurs in service industries who want to build a business that can run without them. He has more than 15 years’ experience owning and operating a service-based business, and more than 20 years’ experience managing employees.
Brian is a leading authority on developing proven service business models and processes that allow his clients to gain the freedom they want from their business. The strategies and tactics he teaches his clients also provide peace of mind by allowing business owners to gain the necessary confidence to empower their employees to make sound decisions, while still maintaining quality control and performance objectives. His strategies draw upon many years of practical experience in leadership, process improvement, accounting, sales and marketing, and of course coaching employees and clients.
After recently selling his shares of two very successful companies, Brian created Service Industry Success, and is now able to focus full time on helping other business owners gain clarity and develop sound, applicable, step-by-step strategies to make tremendous progress towards their goals of building a building they love and which gives them freedom – both financially and with the ability to step away from their business to the degree they would like.
After graduating from Enumclaw High School, Brian stayed in the Puget Sound area for another 28 years, until he and his wife, Stacy, moved their primary residence to Anthem, Arizona, where they now spend the bulk of their time.

  • They don’t know the goal
    • They can’t describe what success looks like, both in an
      • Individual action – what does this look like when done correctly, one time
      • Or a collective effort – what percentage of the time do we need to do this correctly to be deemed ‘successful’ at it?
  • They don’t know why it matters that this task or action be done at all, done correctly, or done correctly in a consistent manner.
    • They don’t know the positive result we are aiming for, and/or why that result matters
    • They don’t know the negative consequence we’re aiming to avoid, and/or why it matters
  • They know the goal, think it’s reasonable, think they can achieve it, but don’t know which process to follow, or specifically how to accomplish the goal
  • They know the goal, think it’s reasonable, think they can achieve it, know which process to follow or specifically how to accomplish the goal, but don’t know how to use a particular tool, program, or other aid necessary to achieve the goal
  • They know the goal and understand the why, but don’t think it’s reasonable, fair or applicable to them – or they don’t agree with the why
  • They know the goal, and think it’s reasonable, but don’t think they can achieve the goal
